Chapter 8
1 And Elisha spoke to the woman whose son he had revived, saying, "Arise and go, you and your household, and sojourn wherever you can sojourn, for the LORD has called a famine, and it has also come upon the land for seven years." 2 And the woman arose and did according to the word of the man of God. She went, she and her household, and she sojourned in the land of the Philistines seven years. 3 And it was at the end of seven years, the woman returned from the land of the Philistines, and she went out to cry out to the king for her house and for her field. 4 And the king was speaking to Gehazi, servant of the man of God, said, "Tell me, please, all the great things that Elisha has done." 5 And it was—he recounting to the king that he had revived the dead body, and behold, the woman whose son he had revived was crying out to the king concerning her house and concerning her field. And Gehazi said, “My lord the king, this is the woman and this is her son whom Elisha revived.” 6 And the king asked the woman, and she told him. And the king appointed her one eunuch, saying, "Return all that is hers and all the produce of the field from the day she left the land until now."
